GET-BS Academic Associate Launches Award Winning Module
“Risk Ready” to Revolutionize Project Risk Learning

GET-BS Academic Associate Ts. Dr. Lee Chia Kuang has developed Risk Ready, an award-winning micro-credential module designed to transform how students and professionals learn project risk management.
Born out of the pandemic’s shift to online learning, Risk Ready combines theory, online simulations, and self-assessment into a flexible, modular format aligned with PMBOK® best practices.
Learners tackle 13 key project management topics, run real-world risk scenarios using Risk Simulator software, and test their knowledge with 150 practice questions.
Supported by the Ministry of Higher Education’s Graduate Employability Grant and Edustats Solutions, the program also advances the UN Sustainable Development Goals by providing inclusive, affordable technical and vocational education.
Since its pilot in 2020, Risk Ready has helped close the gap between academic knowledge and industry skills, boosting graduate employability. Its impact was recognized with a Gold Medal and the Outstanding Business Management Micro-Credential Award at CITREX 2025.
The model has already earned wide recognition:
- Best Presenter Awards at the 2021 International Joint Conference (Kasetsart University, Thailand) and the 2022 Global Conference on Business and Social Science (Kuala Lumpur)
- Silver medal at the 2023 Penang International Invention, Innovation and Design (PIID)
- Bronze medal at the 2023 Management Science/Operations Research Society of Malaysia (MSORSM) Awards
- Silver medal at the 2023 International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX, KLCC)
- Management Award, Most Commercial IT & Data Science Innovation Award and Gold Medal at the 2023 Creation, Innovation, Technology & Research Exposition (CITREX, UMPSA Gambang)
Dr. Lee now plans to expand Risk Ready to more universities, training agencies and project-based industries, adding new simulations and micro-credential pathways to train a larger workforce in practical, certified project risk management.
