Teaching Philosophy

“The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery.”

This is my teaching philosophy. It’s means I see my primary role not as a lecturer who delivers facts, but as a facilitator who guides students as they uncover knowledge for themselves.

This approach is structured by Outcome-Based Education (OBE), where we begin with the end in mind. I first define the crucial skills and understanding students should master, then design the curriculum backwards from these goals.

To achieve this, I embrace experiential learning. Students learn through action—by tackling hands-on activities and real-world problems. I create a supportive environment where they can safely experiment, make mistakes, and reflect. This process transforms them from passive listeners into active explorers, ensuring they gain a deep, practical understanding that prepares them for future challenges.

Research Focus

Applied Macroeconometrics, Sustainable Development Goals (Micro / Macro), Environmental Economics, Islamic Banking and Finance and Personal Financial Planning.
