Introduction
Dr. Ahmad Huzaimi’s main research interests centre on investigating the legal and contractual challenges of Building Information Modelling (BIM) across the project procurement process. His work explores how contractual mechanisms, stakeholder collaboration, and model adequacy influence the effectiveness of BIM implementation and project integration within multidisciplinary teams.
With over six years of active involvement in research and development during his Master’s and PhD studies, Dr. Huzaimi has demonstrated strong scholarly excellence by publishing twelve (12) scientific articles in collaboration with academic peers and industry partners. His international research attachments in The Netherlands and Canada have enriched his global perspective, bridging academic rigor with real-world project practices.
As the Coordinator of the Master of Project Management (MPM) program at GET-BS, FIM-UMPSA, Dr. Huzaimi plays a pivotal role in shaping future project leaders. He integrates innovative, industry-relevant learning experiences that connect theory with practice, empowering professionals to manage projects strategically in today’s evolving global environment.
Driven by passion for excellence and collaboration, Dr. Huzaimi continues to contribute to the advancement of BIM-based project management, digital transformation, and sustainable construction governance; both in Malaysia and internationally.
Teaching Philosophy
“Teaching is about igniting curiosity and shaping minds to lead with purpose.”
I believe that teaching is not merely about transferring knowledge. It is about transforming mindsets. As an educator in project management, my philosophy revolves around bridging theory with practice, ensuring that every lesson inspires curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence to lead real-world projects.
In my classroom, I create an engaging learning environment where discussion meets discovery. Students are encouraged to question, analyze, and apply concepts through case-based learning, simulations, and industry collaboration. I view each learner as a future project leader; one who must balance technical expertise with ethical decision-making, adaptability, and emotional intelligence.
My ultimate goal is to cultivate reflective practitioners who can navigate the complexities of modern project ecosystems whether in construction, manufacturing, or technology with integrity and innovation. I teach not only to educate minds, but to ignite purpose, nurture professionalism, and inspire a lifelong passion for learning and leadership.

Sport - Petanque
I recently picked up a new sport; petanque. It’s more than just throwing metal balls; it’s a game of strategy, focus, and patience. Every throw is a balance between aiming (pointer) or striking (tirer); a perfect mix of mind and precision.

Grey’s Anatomy, life teaches us resilience through pain. Armageddon, it reminds us of sacrifice for something greater. Both echo that purpose is found when love meets courage.
